MENSA and/or Simpsons Trivia Archive CANCELLED

Decided against the project. *Description of Project: Either a MENSA question of the day or a Simpsons Trivia of the day may be added. The same setup for that as is in place for the Word of the Day will be needed with one possible addition.

Initial thought is to have the pages actually named by 'Week Number-Day of the Week'. As an preliminary example using [[MENSA-{{CURRENTWEEK}}-{{CURRENTDOW}}]] which would produce a page name like MENSA-1-3 for Wednesday (day of the week #3) of the first week of the year. The page for Wednesday of Week 2 (MENSA-2-3) would have the question in its text and transclude (not as a subst:) the answer of MENSA-1-3.

Upgrade of RTTR Forum to PHPBB 3.0 COMPLETE

  • Description of Project: Upgrade of the RTTR Forum to PHPBB 3.0, while maintaining current settings/messages while manually inserting those necessary for transfer and moving the rest to relevant talk pages here.
  • Status:
  1. ThePete needs server side info for accessing the directory that the forum is located, so a copy can be made. Also needed is the SQL address and username/password for the new forum to access the SQL database. Complete
    • Note: The upgrade has been just short of disasterous. Converting the old Db is not possible. Errors were popping up out of nowhere eventually forcing a re-installation which wiped out all previous progress. Once the upgrade is completed to our satisfaction the trouble will be worth it. -- January 4, 2007
  2. The upgrade is complete and seems to be running fine now. The databases from 2.x to 3.b4 are not compatible so any transfers to be done have to copy/pasted as new entries. The basic structure is complete. Complete
