NO SHOW #1
The relationship between Mary Kiffmeyer and Race to the Right has been strained since their days on KYCR. Kiffmeyer was invited for an interview on their October 10, 2004 show and accepted the invitation. Marty and Tony spent a long time promoting her appearance and confirmed with her the Friday before.
She failed to call-in and was not answering at the phone number that was provided by her staff.
NO SHOW #2
Kiffmeyer was again invited to be on the September 4, 2005 show and again was confirmed. This time Tony was adament that there was absolutely no promotion. Good thing, as she no-showed again.
FOLLOW THROUGH #1
Kiffmeyer was invited by Marty for the October 9, 2005 show. She actually called in.
CANCELATION #1
A disagreement about how Kiffmeyer's office reported the 2005 elections between Tony against Marty, someone posting anonymously from Kiffmeyer's home IP address and James Kiffmeyer led to Marty declaring Kiffmeyer requested a chance to defend herself on the November 13, 2005 show. While the discussion on the blog was implying Kiffmeyer was going to be allowed on the air Tony had already called Tommy and instructed him that Kiffmeyer was not welcomed on the show. Marty then mentioned that there was a miscommunication (again) between him and Kiffmeyer's office. How that was possible from her office in light of James' final comment on the topic, "Mary Kiffmeyer did not ask to be on the radio show this afternoon as she is in an airplane this afternoon.
Posted by James Kiffmeyer at the request of Mary Kiffmeyer."
NO SHOW #3
The final time she was invited was for the October 29, 2006 show. The invitation was simply to offer "equal time" as Mark Ritchie was confirmed for an interview that same day. It was counted on that the request would be ignored. The invitation was the following:Dear Kiffmeyer campaign,Two hours later the invitation was accepted.
I host a radio show in the St Cloud area on Sundays on 1450 KNSI. My name is Tony Garcia. I would like to offer Mary Kiffmeyer 10 minutes this coming Sunday (October 29) from 1:10 to 1:20.
Thank you,
Tony
Tony. I would be glad to be on. Just need the info etc. Thanks MaryThe show prep was all about Kiffmeyer's record and had no questions prepared. It was assumed that Kiffmeyer would again not follow through. And that assumption was correct.
