Interview with Eric Black of Eric Black Ink
The first show officially back from the 5-week hiatus this show demonstrated the benefit of the occassional vacation. It was strong and well done. Once again there were many solidly prepared topics that became a victim of "overhang". In other words, many topics did not get to the air that would have been strong topics on their own.
This is the show also where Tony officially lifted the ban against Election 08 discussion, even though no Election 08 discussions occurred.
Eric Black was the guest today in an interview that was set up prior to the hiatus. The interview was to discuss the state of public discourse in American politics...where is it, how did it get there and how can it get fixed?
Off the air The Pete made an impromptu visit to the station on his way down from Alexandria back to the Cities. The timing was good since it allowed him to participate in the setup for discussing the Nobel Peace Prize and its irrelevance.
The bad news about the 5-week hiatus...Tony's technological rust showed as he deleted the show's recording before archiving it.
