CPT Vonberge

This is the first remote broadcast since the disastrous J&P's flop in February 2006. That one had many issues and was also a co-host remote. This one was a solo job and had a little extra pressure. The Senator was asked by event planners for the Camp Ripley Open House if KNSI would be able to cover the bi-annual event today. Through conversation it was made clear that the invitation was for someone besides "the guy KNSI sent last time" because he was so terrible. So, the pressure was on.

Cadet Hake and CPT Vonberge were incredible with their assistance along with, of course, The Senator hard work. Without any of them this special broadcast would not have been possible.

CPT Vonberge told all of the newbies (soldiers fresh from basic training) that 'some radio guy' may grab them and ask them to be on the air...they have permission to do so. These turned out to be the most fascinating discussions as their maturity and grasp of the world was unbelievable.

One of Tony's exchange students (Billy) also helped as a runner during the entire broadcast and was a huge help. He helped track down some of the interviewees as well as filter requests to be on air.

Hour 2 was marked with numerous F16 flyovers. 18 flyovers to be exact. Julie of the Minnesota National Guard Youth Camp asked Billy if she could come on the air to talk about the camp. It was during her interview that the F16s decided to announce their presence.
